Pensacola Sister Cities International, Inc., is a volunteer, 501(c)
3, not-for-profit organization dedicated to allowing people to give
expression to their common desires of friendship, goodwill and cooperation
for a better world for all. It was established to build Pensacola's
international relations through sister cities activities and exchanges
that increase international trade and economic development and promote
cultural and educational opportunities.
Pensacola Sister Cities International, Inc., is affiliated with Sister
Cities International, a program that was initiated by President Dwight
D. Eisenhower in 1956 and now involves more than 2,500 cities worldwide
and cities in all 50 states.
Pensacola currently has six Sister Cities:
Miraflores, Peru
Chimbote, Peru
Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Escazú, Costa Rica
Gorlovka, Ukraine
Gero, Japan
